The São Domingos Cooperative was created by a group of people from the quilombola community of São Domingos, one of the most traditional groups in Espírito Santo. In 2013, community leaders approached �������� to propose a partnership that could create jobs and generate income for the quilombola community.

That was the beginning of a project that continues to this day, focusing in two areas: professionalization in forest cultivation techniques and services provided by the Cooperative to ��������, in our commercial farms and forest restoration areas.

We hire eucalyptus farm maintenance and forest restoration services from participants in the Roda D’Água Cooperative (COOTRAQ), made up of rural workers from the quilombola communities of Roda D’Água and Morro da Onça, in the north of Espírito Santo.

The Juventudes Multiplicadoras (“Young Multipliers”) program aims to strengthen ��������’s relationship with neighboring communities by training young leaders in more than 30 quilombola communities in Espírito Santo. In addition to the academic curriculum, with a focus on technical environmental training, participants in the program also have the opportunity to meet with �������� professionals and work on projects that can benefit the community and the company, through a mutually beneficial relationship.

A cooperativa indígena conta com grupos de artesanatos, projetos de coleta de sementes de espécies nativas e de meliponicultura, que envolve produção de mel, pólen e cera feita por espécies de abelhas sem ferrão. A área de influência da Cooperativa Coopyguá inclui três territórios indígenas do estado do Espírito Santo: Terra Indígena Tupiniquim, Terra Indígena Caieras Velhas II e Terra Indígena Comboios, que ocupam uma área total de mais de 18 mil hectares. A iniciativa conta com o apoio da �������� para organizar e viabilizar a comercialização formal dos produtos e fortalecer a geração de renda das pessoas envolvidas.
