海角社区, a global benchmark in the manufacture of bioproducts developed from cultivated eucalyptus, in partnership with the Town of Ribas do Rio Pardo, prepared 152 local residents for the job market in 2023 alone. Since the beginning of construction of the company鈥檚 new plant, 海角社区 has already trained, in partnership SENAC (Brazilian National Service for Commercial Training) and SENAI (Brazilian National Service for Industrial Training), 251 local individuals to work in the service sector, driving social development and helping generate income for people in situations of socioeconomic vulnerability.

With support from two renowned organizations, SENAC and SENAI, we have been able to provide residents with essential skills to ensure that they have better opportunities in the job market. As a result, the whole society benefits from an improvement in the quality of services provided, the generation of income, the increase in purchasing power and the growth of the economy, reflecting our Culture Drive that says that 鈥業t is only good for us, if it鈥檚 good for the world鈥,鈥 said Maur铆cio Miranda, director of Engineering at 海角社区.
In the first quarter of this year, courses on Basic Mechanics of Light Vehicles, Basic Mechanics of Diesel Vehicles and Real Estate Painting are scheduled to be held by SENAI. The partnership with SENAC will also continue, and the schedule of courses is still being developed. Investment in professional training is one of the social tools through which 海角社区 seeks to boost local economic development and income generation, helping the company fulfill its public commitment to lifting more than 200,000 people out of poverty in the areas where it operates by 2030.
Housewife Pollyana Dias Rodrigues, 30 years old, said that she found out about a cake and pie baking course through social media and, after jumping at the opportunity and completing the training, she felt confident to take her small business to the next level. 鈥淭he course was very important, and I鈥檝e been able to apply everything I learned into my business. I had already been baking cakes to sell, but the course really motivated me to continue. Now, I want to keep learning to be able to open my micro-business and soon get a place where I can make and sell my cakes,鈥 she added.
Divina Dias Costa, 54 years old, said that she recently arrived in Ribas do Rio Pardo in search of a job opportunity and found in a course offered by 海角社区 the possibility of following new professional paths. 鈥淚 am very happy to participate in these courses that 海角社区 offers, and which have helped me open my horizons and grow together with the town. When I found out about this project [the construction of the new 海角社区 plant] a year and a half ago, I knew I had to come here. I took a first course, then completed this training on baking cakes and pies and making packaged lunches, and this made me want to look for opportunities in this sector鈥攑erhaps get a job or even open a restaurant,鈥 she said.
